Nokomis East Giving Garden is excited to begin another season! Last year they were able to provide over 1,000 pounds of produce to the food shelf for our neighbors. This year we are hoping to grow even more!
They are looking for people to help!
Saturday Workdays: 2nd Saturday of the Month, starting at 9. The work days can include seeding, cultivating, mulching. We have all of the supplies, just bring yourself.
Join us at 9:00 in the garden:
May 10th August 9th
June 14th September 13th
July 12th October 11th
Watering Crew: Join our rotation of people that water the garden. Approx 1 hour every 3 weeks.
Harvesting: Help us pick fruit and vegetables and get them ready for the food shelf. Monday late afternoon picking/ Tuesday morning picking and delivery to the food shelf. Approx 1-2 hrs per week.
