Are you interested in gardening, building community and raising food for good local causes? You should attend this meeting! Help our neighborhood add a third community garden – this one will grow food for you and for local food shelves.
St. James Episcopal Church on Minnehaha Parkway is expanding the onsite garden and is inviting neighbors to join.
Everyone is welcome – first time gardeners to expert green thumbs. At the planning meeting, we will discuss the shared goals of the project, how the garden will be run and we will determine the name of this new green patch.
Community gardens add beauty to the neighborhood and heighten people’s awareness and appreciation for living things. In addition to growing plants, you will be growing community connections and meeting new neighbors.

St. James Episcopal Church on Minnehaha Parkway is expanding the onsite garden and is inviting neighbors to join. This is the first big workday for the food garden, where we will be building the new garden beds and adding height to existing beds.
All volunteers 12+ are encouraged to join! Bring work gloves and wear attire appropriate for the weather. If you are joining us for lunch, please bring a dish or snack to share!
This is a project of NENA’s Green Initiatives Committee. All are welcome!
