In August, Kim McVay of Morris Park was appointed to fill a recently vacated seat on the Board of Directors.
Kim, originally from Hawaii, moved to Morris Park in 2017. As a RN at the VA Medical Center, Kim also works in our community.
For Kim, her Morris Park house is the first she has owned. “I was a military spouse and we moved frequently. I often volunteered as the community mayor/vice mayor in the military communities. This is my first home and I feel responsible to make it a great place to live.”
As a NENA Board member Kim said, “I’d love to make cohesive neighborhoods that are friendly and tolerate diversity. It would be great if all of our neighbors knew each other and looked out for each other.”
We are glad that Kim has joined the NENA Board! She has joined the NENA Fundraising Events Team and is ready to get to work.
