NENA Approves Bylaws Revision

Update: Bylaw revision approved by the General Membership at the Annual Meeting on April 25, 2019.

In April 2020, NENA plans to conduct its regular Board of Director Elections with the addition of early and absentee voting. To allow for this change, NENA’s Bylaws will need to be revised with approval of the Board of Directors and the General Membership in 2019.

Goals

Increase eligible voter participation in electing NENA’s leadership.
Elevate communications about the NENA Board of Directors and its impact in the community.
Recruit Board candidates early, allowing more time for the community to interact with candidates and make informed decisions.

At the February 28, 2019 meeting, the Board will review and vote to approve the proposed bylaws revision. The Board will present the proposed revision to the General Membership at NENA’s Annual Meeting on April 25, 2019.

NENA members are encouraged to review the proposed revisions prior to the Annual Meeting and to ask questions. NENA will also have copies of the proposed revisions available at the Annual Meeting.
