The Night Before New Year’s Eve party, now in its 20th year, is a family-oriented, free event for neighborhood families. The celebration includes lots of carnival games with prizes, indoor bowling and the famous Nokomis Fish Pond. Families will also enjoy a kid-friendly dinner, a Kid’s Dance DJ, marshmallow roasting over a bonfire, New Year’s fortunes, a “midnight” (7:15 pm) countdown complete with noisemakers and much more. To help cover the cost of the event, NENA suggests a $10 donation per family.
Food Drive
New this year, NENA will be holding a food drive for the Minnehaha Food Shelf.Please bring non-perishable foods, toiletries, household or baby items to donate.
Volunteer!
Nokomis East needs volunteers for the Night Before New Year’s Eve. This event is fun for everyone who attends, including the volunteers, and it cannot happen without you! Volunteers working the event will be treated to a free pizza dinner. Opportunities for families, groups, and young adult volunteers are available.
