Bossen Renters Party Celebrates Community

As part of our continued commitment to serving the Nokomis East community, NENA has conducted community outreach for renters in the Bossen area for the past few years. Previous projects in Bossen have included the improvements to the 58th Street bus stop through Metro Transit’s Better Bus Stop program and NENA’s participation in the Minneapolis Renters Coalition.

NENA hosted the Bossen Renters Party last Saturday, July 8th, as another opportunity for renters to connect with local services and celebrate their community. Festivities featured dancers from the Somali Museum of Minnesota, Minneapolis Bike Cops, art printing, a walking tree tour of the Bossen area, and the Kalpulli Ketzal Coatlicue Aztec dance troupe. Local schools, churches, and nonprofits offered tables with information on services available to attendees.
