Voter Eligibility
To be eligible to vote, you must live (renter or homeowner) in a Nokomis East neighborhood and be 18 years of age or older. NENA Bylaws and Voter Eligibility
Elections
This year, NENA has eight seats up for election – one representative from Keewaydin, two from Minnehaha, one from Morris Park, one from Wenonah, and three at large board members.
Neighborhood Representatives Election – Only you and your neighbors in your neighborhood will be voting for the Neighborhood Seats. The candidates from each Neighborhood Representative Election receiving the top highest number of votes will be elected to the seats.
NENA strongly encouraged candidates to apply by April 11th to be included in the online Candidate Guide for the entire open voting period. NENA will add applications as we receive them through the voting period. Run for a Seat.
Three Ways to Vote
- Online Voting will be open Thursday, April 13, 2023 until Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 8:00 am.

Telephone Voting will be open until Thursday, April 13, 2023 until Monday, April 24, 2023, at 8:00 am. Please call NENA’s Office at (612) 724-5652. Please leave your Name, Neighborhood, and Address on the voicemail. You may also leave your votes. Please leave the phone number to reach you for a callback.

Voting In Person at the Annual Meeting. You may also vote in person at NENA’s Annual Meeting on April 27th. You can also change your online vote at the Annual Meeting.
Candidates may submit their name “from the floor” at the Annual Meeting. Only residents at the Annual Meeting will be informed of these candidates and may vote for these candidates during the Annual Meeting in person.
Results
Results will be announced at NENA’s Annual Meeting & Community Meal on April 27th. Make plans to join your community for this family-friendly event!
