Nokomis East Food Distribution Site

NENA hosts a twice a month free food distribution site for Nokomis East and surrounding areas. The new site is located at 5734 Sander Drive and scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 2:30 – 3:30 pm. Event Information

All are Welcome! We will ask for your name, the number of people in your household, and the approximate ages. We will not share your name or information beyond our organization.

This is an outdoor activity. Social distancing and masks will be required. NENA will have free pocket-sized hand sanitizers and cloth masks available.

Items vary but likely to include a variety of:

  • Fresh and canned vegetables and fruits
  • Milk and dairy products
  • Beef and turkey
  • Rice, pasta, tortillas, oatmeal, and cereal
  • Shampoo
  • Cleaning supplies

This NENA project is in partnership with Second Harvest Heartland and the Minnehaha Food Shelf. The food shelf is open form 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Tuesdays located at 3701 E. 50th Street.
