Board meetings are the fourth Mondays of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the NENA Office. Third Monday in December.

Meetings are open to the public unless otherwise noted. Each meeting starts with a 15 minute period for the public to address the Board with your ideas and questions.

  • Community Meeting: Cedar-Edgewater-Nokomis Traffic Safety

    Time: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Hope Lutheran Church, 5728 Cedar Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55417, USA

    Details:

City Council Member Jeremy Schroeder is hosting a listening session on traffic issues in the vicinity of Cedar Avenue, Edgewater Boulevard, and Lake Nokomis Parkway. Hennepin County Commissioner Angela Conley and Park Board Commissioner Steffanie Musich will be in attendance as well, joined by staff from all three jurisdictions. We’ll hear about the work done through the course of this year to understand traffic safety challenges and opportunities for improvement in the area, and take feedback on potential next steps.

This is a follow-up to a community listening session earlier this year, where we came together to imagine a better future for this part of our community, recognizing that this is an area of significant concern for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers. I’m looking forward to sharing what we've learned through analysis done this year by the City’s Public Works team in collaboration with Hennepin County (which oversees Cedar) and the Park Board (which oversees Lake Nokomis Parkway). Hope to see you there!
