    All are welcome (but not obligated) to stay for program options following the meal (“Kids Too!”, youth group, and adult Bible study.)

    Details: 

    NENA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, marking its beginnings in the mid-1980’s and incorporated in 1997, by residents and businesses to strengthen our four southeast Minneapolis neighborhoods.

    NENA is led by a 15 person Board of Directors comprised of community members, elected by the community at our Annual Meeting in April. We are a neighborhood-driven organization and thrive with a diverse group of volunteers and active committee participants

    Board meetings are the fourth Thursdays of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the NENA Office (4313 E. 54th Street). Board meetings in November and December are held on the third Thursday.

    Meetings are open to the public unless otherwise noted. Each meeting starts with a 15 minute period for the public to address the Board with your ideas and questions.

    We all know that Minnesotans know how to whip up a dish in a pot. Is your specialty a traditional cream of mushroom delight or do you have something a little bit more exotic? Entry fee is $10. Crock Pot Entry Registration

    Let the community be the judge of who will be the 2018 Cook-Off Champ. Did we mention there will be a trophy!

    Event Tickets
    Each ticket includes entry, samples, bread, dessert and voting tickets. Each attendee will receive three tickets to vote for their favorite entry(s), so use them wisely! Ingredients will be listed for each entry to avoid allergies or food sensitivities.

    Adults = $10 Early Bird Special
    Adults = $15 At the Door
    Kids ages 6-16 = $5
    Kids 5 and under = Free

    City Council Member Jeremy Schroeder and Fifth Precinct Inspector Mike Sullivan will be on hand to chat about public safety issues in Ward 11. Curious about how the police department works within the community? What police accountability looks like in our city? Bring your questions and your concerns to this informal chat.

    Come whenever and stay as long as you're able -- this isn't a formal program, it's a chance for you to connect in person with a law enforcement leader in our community.
