    The Farmers Market is returning on Tuesday, June 19th. The market will run every Tuesday, through the end of October, from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. in the first level of the parking ramp. Everyone is welcome!

    Twin Cities Mobile Market (TCMM) stop in the Bossen area - Everyone is welcome!

    Twin Cities Mobile Market is a grocery store on wheels that brings affordable, healthy food directly into under-resourced neighborhoods. It fills a gap between food shelves and full-service supermarkets by providing a wide selection of fresh foods at or below market prices in areas where access to healthy food is limited.

    Crosstown Covenant Church hosts a free community meal each Wednesday evening during the school year. Menus are posted in advance on the church website, All are welcome (but not obligated) to stay for program options following the meal (“Kids Too!”, youth group, and adult Bible study.)

    Nokomis Groundwater Open House meeting details
    As part of efforts to keep area residents informed and engaged, the Nokomis Area Groundwater and Surface Water Evaluation team is planning an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lynnhurst Recreation Center, 1345 W. Minnehaha Pkwy, Minneapolis.

    No formal presentations are planned, but staff from the City of Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, the Department of Natural Resources and Hennepin County will be on hand to provide information and answer questions on a variety of topics related to groundwater and surface water issues in the area.

Before it goes back to the City Council, Standish Ericsson Neighborhood Association and Nokomis East Neighborhood Association are co-hosting an opportunity to meet with City Planners and Elected Officials to ask questions and share feedback on the revised plan.   • NENA Board of Directors Meeting

    NENA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, marking its beginnings in the mid-1980’s and incorporated in 1997, by residents and businesses to strengthen our four southeast Minneapolis neighborhoods.

    NENA is led by a 15 person Board of Directors comprised of community members, elected by the community at our Annual Meeting in April. We are a neighborhood-driven organization and thrive with a diverse group of volunteers and active committee participants

    Board meetings are the fourth Thursdays of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the NENA Office (4313 E. 54th Street). Board meetings in November and December are held on the third Thursday.

    Meetings are open to the public unless otherwise noted. Each meeting starts with a 15 minute period for the public to address the Board with your ideas and questions.
