    3PAC is a citizen run meeting held at the 3rd Precinct the last Monday of every odd month. The 3rd Precinct Advisory Council (3PAC) Meeting is at 6:30pm at the 3rd Precinct Community Room at 3000 Minnehaha Avenue. There is parking in the back of the precinct and on the street on Snelling and Minnehaha. All are welcome!

  • MPRB Meeting Hiawatha Ground Water Meeting

    The City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) are continuing work to investigate groundwater pumping and alternatives for Lake Hiawatha.The ongoing effort used data gained from monitoring devices installed more than a year ago to further understand the volume of water being pumped and other characteristics that might impact upon solutions that change pumping regimes.This work also more closely assessed potential impacts to nearby homes, as well as some that are more remote from the golf course but could be impacted by changes. MPRB and City Staff received a formal report on work completed to date during the week of Feb. 27 and will share that information publicly at a meeting on March 30.

    This event is FREE and open to the public and will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 10 AM to 3 PM. We are back at out original convenient location at South High School, 3131 S 19th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407. Centrally located in South Minneapolis, the Housing Fair is easy to find with plenty of parking at South High School & on the street.

  • First Saturday Book Collection @ Nokomis Library

    First Saturdays of the month are collection days for donations of used books, at Nokomis Community Library.

    Volunteers who are Friends of the Nokomis Library will be on hand to receive your gently used books, CDs, DVDs and audio-books. We especially are in great need of children's books and books for young adults.

    We cannot accept your Reader's Digest compilations, magazines, text books, out-of-date computer manuals or out-of-date travel resource books. Please help us by recycling or disposing of these things at home.

    Thanks again for your donations which help the many clubs, author talks, programs and events we all enjoy at the Nokomis Library. Please join us if you have the time to assist in our book collections.
